My foray into the politics and decision to get on track of the mission to serve and build my community, State and nation was not borne out of a ‘flash in the pan’ desire but from a deep rooted yearning to contribute fresh and bold ideas with a commitment to widen opportunity for prosperity and development in our community through consultation and collaboration with all stakeholders. I have observed that by our less than active involvement in the affairs of governance in our community, we have unwittingly allowed the prevailing sub-optimal calibre and quality of representation in government to take hold. The beacon to our future lies with us to demand and achieve.
Now is the time to get provocative, to go beyond the tables or circles of deliberations and engage towards execution, putting to bear all resources available, both as individuals and collectively, to enthrone our vision… VALUES BASED LEADERSHIP… in all fields of governance and life!.
Over the years, I have sat like many, on the side-lines of politics, ‘just doing the little I can’ but I have come to realize by my various interactions and work within my community and in development institutions, that there is room to do and achieve much more that will positively impact on the people and our communities. It is my belief that to be solely satisfied with personal comfort in the midst of the retrogression of our society amidst growing poverty is not only being selfish but grossly underutilizing the talents and abilities that God has given us to serve and contribute meaningfully to the development of our community and nation. This personal philosophy has greatly influenced and channelled my thoughts and actions.
My vision and commitment in this endeavour is for the people. Beyond politics, it is my passion to feel and understand the pulse of the people —our thoughts, expectations and understanding of the course set before us and the way forward.
We have endured governance that has for too long been less than capable of delivering its promises or meeting the desires of the people for basic development. We have groped in the dark for far too long. I am Nwanyi bu Ihe, ihe ga adi na Arochukwu-Ohafia Constituency come 2023. I am a Strong Voice for our Constituency, I will speak for you and represent you well, so help me God!
In recognition of his outstanding and distinguished services to Nigeria and the world through banking, on Saturday May 11, 2013 at the 20th Anniversary of USAfrica in Houston, he was honored with the 1st USAfrica International Banker of the Year, presented to him by the influential U.S Congressman Al Green.
